In Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, organizers responded to criticism over the conditions of keeping dogs at a charity event

In Nizhnevartovsk (Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug), dogs at the Snow Dog charity event were provided with water, and animators at the event worked to attract the attention of residents. According to representatives of the city administration and public figures, the condition of the animals was controlled by a veterinarian. The organizers of the action were criticized by the townspeople because of the conditions of the animals.

“There are shortcomings in organizational issues that will be taken into account, but it is important to clarify. The cages were brought by volunteers — who had what kind (we learned about the need to keep animals in cages before the event). Water was nearby in a bottle, bowls, too, the puppies regularly drank, ”explained Yulia Ashurbekova, a representative of the city Public Council for the Treatment of Animals.

With the help of the campaign, homeless animals can find a home. Residents also bring food during the action. “As for the musical accompaniment of the event: they organized entertainment for children, invited animators to attract the attention of citizens! Few would come in if the dogs were just sitting and there was a box for food, ”added Ashurbekova.

The administration of Nizhnevartovsk noted that during the action the dogs were under the supervision of a veterinarian. “Not a single animal was harmed during the event,” the mayor’s office said. About 300 people took part in the action, 78 kilograms of feed were collected.

Earlier, URA.RU reported that Sergei Kum, a resident of Nizhnevartovsk, criticized the organizers of the Snow Dog charity event because of the conditions in which animals are kept. In social networks, he said that the dogs were sitting in cramped cages without water, and loud music was playing in the premises of the Green Park multifunctional complex.
