In January, the turnover of public catering in Russia increased by 13 percent

In January 2023, the turnover of catering establishments in Russia increased by 13 percent compared to the same period in 2022. It is reported by Rosstat.

Earlier, the department reported that the turnover of public catering in 2022 increased by 4.7 percent compared to 2021 – it amounted to 2.3 trillion rubles.

“The turnover of public catering in January 2023 amounted to 207.5 billion rubles, or 113% (in comparable prices) compared to the corresponding period of the previous year,” the publication says.

Meanwhile, as Parlamentskaya Gazeta wrote, Andrey Ryabokon, deputy of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg, said that he was preparing a bill, according to which catering establishments would be required to provide access to the toilet to everyone, and not just direct visitors.
