In Chukotka, two people died when a snowmobile collided with a bridge

In the village of Inchoun in Chukotka, two people died as a result of a collision between a snowmobile and a bridge. About it reported in the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

According to preliminary data, a 25-year-old local resident with a 31-year-old passenger on an ARCTIC-CAT snowmobile tried to drive under the bridge. But due to bad weather, they did not calculate the distance, so there was a collision. The driver and passenger died at the scene due to their injuries.

“It is worth noting that the snowmobile was not properly registered, and the driver did not have the right to drive a vehicle,” indicated by the department.

Prior to this, the snowmobile driver had already been prosecuted for such violations. In January and February 2023, he received a warning.
