In Chelyabinsk, a project for a new road was approved, which will be built in the Central and Kalininsky districts of the city. The route will be laid from the intersection of Chicherin and Universitetskaya Embankment streets to the bank of the Miass River. The initiator of the development is RMK Arena LLC, according to the city hall’s website.

“Public discussions are considered to have taken place. Recommend for approval the documentation on the planning of the territory for the location of the highway from Universitetskaya Naberezhnaya Street to the embankment of the Miass River in the Central and Kalininsky districts of the city of Chelyabinsk,” the website says.

Public discussions took place using the public services portal, where comments and suggestions were accepted from November 21 to November 30, 2023; recommendations could also be sent by mail to the city architecture department. At the same time, an exhibition was exhibited in the House of Architects, and the design organization “Vysota” provided consultation on it. No questions or comments were received during the discussion.

The total area of ​​the future route, according to the documentation, will be 1 thousand 600 square meters, its width will be 32 square meters. The highway will pass in the recreational area near the embankment of the Miass River and will become a continuation of Chicherina Street to the embankment.
