In Bulgaria, the military was categorically forbidden to drink in the service


The Ministry of Defense of Bulgaria issued a special order, according to which the soldiers of the Bulgarian army are strictly forbidden to use alcohol and drugs. This was reported on August 19 by the BNR.

According to the current head of the Bulgarian defense department Dimitra StoyanovaFrom now on, a large-scale campaign to combat alcoholism and drug addiction in the armed forces of the country begins, and violators of the new rules will now be brought to criminal responsibility, not administrative.

The corresponding order was preceded by a number of scandals related to violations of public order by drunken soldiers and officers in public places.
