Governor of the Sverdlovsk region Evgeny Kuyvashev said that social sector spending in 2024 will increase by 20 billion rubles – up to 263 billion. The money is included in the draft regional budget. Kuyvashev stated this while speaking to deputies of the regional legislative assembly, a URA.RU correspondent reports from the meeting room.
“I think the main thing is to focus on solving social development issues. Funding for the social sphere has been increased by almost 20 billion rubles – up to 263 billion. This is more than 60% of regional budget expenditures,” Kuyvashev noted.
According to the bill, in 2024, regional budget revenues will amount to 408 billion rubles, and expenses – 423 billion rubles. The first reading of the document took place on November 14. All deputies voted for adoption, except for the communists led by faction leader Alexander Ivachev. He referred to the adherence to the line of the Communist Party faction in the State Duma.
