The governor of the Kurgan region Vadim Shumkov spoke about helping residents who lost their homes due to forest fires.

According to Shumkov, with the help of housing certificates, local fire victims will be able to pay off their existing mortgages, as well as get a new one, paying the first installment. As Shumkov noted, more than 460 housing certificates have already been issued in the region, 373 summer residents have received financial assistance in compensation for burned houses, reports UralPolit.Ru.

All owners of buildings heavily damaged by fires are paid a one-time financial assistance in the amount of 10 to 50 thousand rubles. For the loss of a garden plot or a country house, a subsidy of 100,000 rubles is issued, and the families of those who died in the fire are paid one million rubles each.
