Holders of unlimited travel tickets “Troika” or Muscovite cards will be able to rent bicycles for free in the Velobike service, said Mayor of Moscow Sergei Sobyanin.

This summer, a pilot project will start in the capital, which will allow residents with unlimited travel cards on the Troika card or the Muscovite card to use bicycles from the Velobike service for free. To do this, you need to link your travel card to your personal account in the Moscow Metro application.

The duration of the free trip will be up to 30 minutes. The number of trips per day is unlimited, and the total number depends on the subscription category: for 30 days – 60 trips; for 90 days – 180 trips; for 365 days (ticket “Single”) – 390 trips.

“You can rent any bikes, except for the new model of electric bikes 2.0,” the mayor of the capital added.

This year, Moscow plans to open 28 new stations, including near Victory Park, Yauza Park, Mitino metro station, Novoperedelkino and Tushino.

Earlier, a bicycle festival was held in Moscow, which brought together a record number of participants.
