Head of village in Derbent region killed in Dagestan – Kommersant

In the village of Rubas, Derbent region of Dagestan, the head of the village, Gadzhikurban Bayrambegov, was killed. According to preliminary information, the murder was preceded by a protracted land conflict.

As reported to the local TV channel RGVK “Dagestan” representatives of the district administration, a message about the crime was received through the 112 system from the shooter himself, a local resident Sadyk Taibov. Paramedics sent to the scene pronounced the official dead from a gunshot wound to the chest in the region of the heart.

According to the message press services Ministry of Internal Affairs for Dagestan, the murder was committed around noon near the house of a 62-year-old official.

“The murder suspect, a 58-year-old local resident, turned himself in to the police and confessed to his deed,” the report said. – He explained that he and the victim had a serious conflict over real estate, which could not be peacefully resolved for a long time. The suspect was taken to the police department to establish all the circumstances of the incident. The collected material will be sent to the jurisdiction.

The press service of the republican department of the Investigative Committee of Russia (TFR) reported shortly after the incident that investigators from the Derbent Interdistrict Investigation Department, together with forensic experts and the deputy head of the regional department of the TFR, went to the scene.
