Head of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Danilov said that Zelensky had not yet approved the counteroffensive plan

The final plans for Ukraine’s counteroffensive have not yet been approved by President Volodymyr Zelensky, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) Oleksiy Danilov said. According to him, today there are no people who know exactly how the counteroffensive will take place.

“In the office of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, the President of our country, an extreme decision will be made on terms and directions. And when someone starts talking about something, even from respected institutions in the West, believe me: there are no people who know exactly all our plans today. Because the final plans have not yet been approved,” Mr. Danilov said on the air of the telethon (quote from the Interfax-Ukraine agency).

The head of the National Security and Defense Council said that Kyiv has several options for a counteroffensive. All of them are “work in progress”. The military will choose according to circumstances.

American politicians have repeatedly said they expect a large-scale counteroffensive from Ukraine in the coming weeks. As it turned out from the secret US documents leaked on social networks, Washington predicts modest success for Ukraine. Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov called the world’s expectations of a counteroffensive overestimated.
