Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris made a promise in her final address following the debate with Republican Donald Trump, stating that if elected, she would ensure the US has the most lethal military force in the world.
“I intend to build an economy of opportunities by investing in small businesses, new families… I believe in what we can achieve together, namely, to maintain America’s position in the world and earn the respect we rightfully deserve, including respect for our armed forces and ensuring we have the deadliest military force in the world,” she stated on ABC News.
Harris added that as president, she would protect the “fundamental rights and freedoms” of the US, although towards the end of her speech, she failed to mention support for Ukraine and refrained from directly referencing Russia.
