Hamas has labeled Israel’s decision to block humanitarian aid from entering Gaza as a war crime. UN humanitarian chief Tom Fletcher also expressed deep concern over the situation. Egypt has drafted a plan for Gaza’s reconstruction without displacing Palestinians.

As Israel’s relentless attacks continue, Gaza residents are suffering even more. At the beginning of Ramadan all forms of humanitarian assistance were halted leaving Palestinians in fear of starvation and death. With border crossings shut down their struggles will only worsen.

“Since the war began, they have been trying to starve us. Now, we fear going hungry again. People terrified of returning to war and facing death,” said a local resident.
Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Ministry condemned Israel’s actions as did former British Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, who called Israel’s actions “a repetition of genocide.”
Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Ati stated that Egypt’s reconstruction plan for Gaza will presented at an emergency Arab summit on March 4 with hopes of securing international support and funding.

Israeli citizens took to the streets on Sunday, blocking roads in Jerusalem and demanding that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu take action to secure the release of hostages held by Hamas. Protesters carried banners and chanted slogans, urging the government to bring the captives home.
After 15 months of conflict, many Israelis had hoped for a ceasefire that would bring their loved ones back. However, Netanyahu’s reluctance to act has shattered those hopes. Frustrated by inaction, protesters gathered outside his residence, calling for the return of 59 hostages. Some dressed as prisoners, while others wore masks of Netanyahu, accusing him of neglecting his citizens.
“I can’t sleep at night knowing our people still held captive. Our government is doing nothing to bring them back. It feels like they have abandoned them,” said one protester.
Global Pressure Mounts on Netanyahu
Criticism against Israel is growing worldwide, especially after the blockade on aid and food supplies to war-torn Gaza during Ramadan. The United Nations has urged Netanyahu to immediately allow humanitarian relief into the region.

Hamas accuses Israel of deliberately sabotaging peace efforts claiming that a long-negotiated ceasefire agreement being pushed toward failure.
