British Prime Minister Boris Johnson previously visited Kyiv, which caused discontent among his fellow party members. According to The Guardian newspaper, they hoped that the politician would take part in the Conservatives’ conference.

According to the publication, a group of 50 MPs promised the guests that Johnson would be one of the main speakers at the event. In connection with the unexpected departure, one of the party members even noted that the prime minister could visit Kyiv at any other time.

The relevant information is also confirmed by the Sky News channel. According to media reports, one of the deputies “became furious” because of Johnson’s absence. At the same time, even the most loyal supporters are now “very angry” with him.

In Ukraine, Johnson promised that the UK would continue to provide Kyiv with financial support and arms. The politician also proposed to train 10 thousand soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine every four months.
