
Sanctions against Russia in general and the Urals in particular
Great Britain imposed sanctions against the Ural industrial enterprises. Relevant information appeared on the website of the government of Foggy Albion.
The Russian Copper Company, a Russian metallurgical company, was included in the sanctions list. The headquarters is located in Yekaterinburg. The Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK), a domestic metallurgical company, which is the largest Russian pipe producer and one of the top three global pipe manufacturers, also fell under the sanctions. The UK also added to its sanctions list the Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works, which is one of the largest steel works in the CIS and Russia.
Earlier, URA.RU reported that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on May 12 imposed sanctions against Russian companies. Sverdlovsk enterprises also fell under the restrictions: Power Telecom, Evrazgarant, DIC, Component, Avionika-VPK and others.
