Governor of the Kurgan region Vadim Shumkov presented awards to Kurgan farmers and workers from the authorized representative of the President of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Agriculture. The head of the region reports this in his telegram channel.
“I said that last year for the first time the region took first place in the country in terms of agricultural production growth. And also that a number of basic indicators of our agricultural industry have increased by 150-300% since 2019. This is a great result. But it was obtained thanks to the work of specific people – our fellow countrymen. Today we presented regional prizes and awards from the plenipotentiary representative of the President and the Ministry of Agriculture,” writes Shumkov. According to the governor, awards were presented to more than 40 workers and farms. He also thanked the workers, calling them the best of the best.
Earlier, in a report published by the governor of the Kurgan region, it was stated that at the end of 2022, the agricultural production index in the region was almost 140%. It also states that the index of registered unemployment in the region has decreased by almost six times over three years. Shumkov also reported that it was planned to introduce additional support measures for farmers in the region. The Ministry of Agriculture allocated 80 million rubles for these purposes. He noted that investments will help agricultural producers attract more than 2.5 billion rubles for the harvesting campaign and the purchase of grain crops.
