Global leaders have welcomed decision for a ceasefire between Hamas and Israel. Many expressed relief that killings in Gaza would stop and pledged support for resolving Israel-Palestine conflict.

Several leaders shared joy over the expected release of Israeli hostages. Who will reunite with their families. Promises were also made to expedite aid delivery to Gaza’s residents.
UN Secretary-General, António Guterres assured full support for implementing the ceasefire and announced plans to increase humanitarian aid to starving people of Gaza. Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan emphasized importance of halting Israeli aggression for regional stability. And reaffirmed Turkey’s commitment to efforts for resolving the conflict.
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi welcomed the agreement via social media and urged swift delivery of aid to Gaza.
UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed and Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Ministry also called for unrestricted aid flow and the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza.
Ceasefire decision has sparked hope for a new era in the Middle East. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen praised the agreement expressing optimism about hostages reuniting with their families and humanitarian aid reaching Gaza residents.

Support also came from Germany, UK, Norway, Belgium, Japan, Australia, and South Africa. German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer expressed satisfaction, hoping for end of Gaza’s suffering and a peaceful future for its people after 15 months of conflict.
