Germany to hand over seven decommissioned Gepard SPAAGs to Ukrainian Armed Forces

Germany will give Ukraine seven decommissioned anti-aircraft self-propelled guns (ZSU) Gepard, writes Spiegel. The systems were planned to be disposed of, but later it was decided to transfer them to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At the moment, they are undergoing repairs at the defense concern Krauss-Maffei Wegmann, after which the APU will be delivered in the spring. At the same time, a shortage of ammunition for them is reported.

“Although their reserves [боеприпасов] are still available all over the world, most of them were made in Switzerland. However, the Swiss government wants to remain neutral and therefore does not issue export licenses.” stated in the material.
