The American company SpaceX on June 18 launched a Falcon 9 carrier rocket with a German reconnaissance satellite, TASS reports.

The launch took place from the Vandenberg spaceport, located in California. The first stage of the carrier rocket, which had already been used in the previous two launches, landed automatically at the cosmodrome.

The launched SARah-1 satellite was developed by Airbus for the German Bundeswehr. He and two more subsequent satellites should replace the obsolete satellite constellation of the SAR-Lupe system in the future.

Recall that the company SpaceX was founded by a businessman Elon Musk.
