Russian Ambassador to Germany Nechaev: German media have crossed the boundaries of what is permissible in anti-Russian zeal
The German publication Die Welt, in anti-Russian zeal, has crossed the boundaries of what is permissible, once again “breaking through the bottom,” said Russian Ambassador to Germany Sergei Nechaev. The newspaper published an interview calling for the assassination of Russian President Vladimir Putin for the “simplest” end to the conflict in Ukraine. Ambassador’s words quoted TASS.
“On April 17, 2023, the German edition of Die Welt published an interview with the American journalist and political scientist F. Kaplan, who, according to what was written, considers the assassination of the Russian president to be the ‘easiest’ way to end the conflict in Ukraine,” the Russian diplomat commented on the article.
The publication Die Welt directly calls for murder, broadcasting the call without cuts and reservations, putting it in the title, Nechaev said.
“It is regrettable that some German media in their anti-Russian zeal cross the boundaries of what is permissible, each time breaking through the bottom,” the ambassador concluded.
Nechaev noted that although this is outrageous, it is no longer surprising.
The Russian Foreign Ministry announced the loss for decades of the possibility of cooperation between Russia and Europe. The political machinations of Great Britain and the United States led to this.
