German counterintelligence chief accuses Russia of “disinformation” about gas shortage

Russia is trying to stir up fears in Germany by spreading “false information” about gas shortages and rising prices. This was stated by the head of the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution of Germany, Thomas Haldenwang.

“Russia is using tools such as cyberattacks and disinformation as hybrid leverage to divide society in Germany,” leads his words to the newspaper Handelsblatt.
