German Chancellor Scholz shared details of an hour and a half talks with Putin

According to Scholz, sometimes his conversations with the Russian leader lasted up to an hour and a half. The President of Russia and the Chancellor of Germany sometimes communicated in German, sometimes with translation. Scholz emphasized that during the conversation, a polite tone was always maintained.

“We turn to you”– said the German Chancellor.

The last telephone conversation between Scholz and Putin took place on December 2, 2022. At the same time, Berlin has repeatedly expressed a desire to continue bilateral contacts with Moscow, while noting “serious differences” in views on the Ukrainian conflict that manifest themselves in the course of such contacts.
