Gazprom Neft closed the deal to buy Shell’s stake in Salym Petroleum Development. Now the company owns 50%, according to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities.
It is known that the relevant documents were signed in December last year. However, the deal could not be considered completed without the consent of the Russian authorities.
According to the documents, since March 3, 50% in the authorized capital of Salym Petroleum Development LLC has been owned by GPN-Middle East Projects LLC, which is a subsidiary of Gazprom Neft. The remaining half is owned by OOO GPN-Salym Projects. The oil production capacity at this facility is 17,000 tons per day. The accumulated investments exceed 170 billion rubles.
Two weeks ago, the signing of the deal was approved by President Vladimir Putin. The corresponding document was published on the official Internet portal of legal information.
