According to the results of processing 100% of the protocols, the leader of the Nykhas party, Alan Gagloev, won 56.09% of the votes in the presidential elections in South Ossetia. The current leader of the republic Anatoly Bibilov – 40.9%. This was reported on May 14 by the CEC of South Ossetia.
“According to the results of voting in the presidential elections in the Republic of South Ossetia on May 8, 2022, Alan Eduardovich Gagloev shall be considered elected to the post of President of the Republic,” the statement says.
According to the CEC, 16,134 citizens voted for Gagloev and 11,767 for Bibilov.
All candidates were opposed by 867 residents (3.01% of the total number of voters).
The inauguration will take place on May 24.
