FSB detained a resident of Primorye for spying for the military intelligence of Ukraine

Employees of the Russian FSB detained a resident of the Primorsky Territory for espionage in the interests of Ukrainian military intelligence. About it informs TASS with reference to the Center for Public Relations of the Russian service.

“The FSB of the Russian Federation stopped the illegal activities of a resident of the Primorsky Territory, involved in committing high treason in the form of espionage in the interests of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine,” the message says.

The FSB established that the Russian collected and passed on information about the objects of law enforcement agencies and the military infrastructure of the region to a Ukrainian intelligence representative. A criminal case has been initiated against him under the article “Treason”. The accused was arrested and is currently in custody. He faces 12 to 20 years in prison or life imprisonment. Moreover, the accused was fully aware that the information he was transmitting could be used against the security of the Russian Federation. Operational-search activities and investigative actions are ongoing.
