In Surgut, scammers created a fake account of Mayor Andrei Filatov in the Telegram messenger to deceive people on behalf of the head of the city. The press service of the city administration reported this to URA.RU.
“Fraudsters created a fake account of the head of Surgut Andrey Filatov on Telegram. False messages are sent on his behalf, which are misleading and contain false information. Please do not respond to such messages, do not follow the links in them, block the account as fake,” the press service commented.
Earlier, URA.RU reported that scammers pretended to be the first vice-governor of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, Alexei Shipilov. They created a copy of his telegram account and sent spam to government members.
