Fortnite enthusiasts, get ready to embark on a nostalgic journey back in time with the launch of Chapter 4: Season OG. This season is a homage to Fortnite’s past, featuring elements from 2018’s Chapter 1 map, classic weapons, loot, and vehicles. While technically the fifth season of Chapter 4, developer Epic Games affectionately calls it Season OG due to the nostalgic elements it brings back.
A Journey Through Fortnite History
In Season OG, players will be transported to the Chapter 1 map, specifically starting with Season 5. This season promises to reintroduce iconic weapons like the Assault Rifle, Pump Shotgun, and vehicles such as Shopping Carts. These throwback elements will be available in both Zero Build and regular Battle Royale Fortnite.

In the OG Item Shop, you can expect curated selections of classic, mashup, and new items, which will only be available for a limited time, with new items appearing daily at 7 p.m. ET.
Season OG Ranked
As is customary with a new season, your rank has been reset in Chapter 4: Season OG. You only need to play one ranked match to have your rank revealed; your initial rank placement is not determined by your performance in the first match, but your performance does impact your rank’s progress bar.
Matchmaking may take a little longer in higher ranks. Season OG being a shorter season, the rank progression will be faster at the higher and middle ranks. Players in Bronze ranks will experience faster progression, making it easier for friends to queue up together across ranks.
When you embark on a ranked match, you’ll be given a Ranked Urgent Quest. Completing these quests unlocks special in-game rewards, including the Chapter 1-inspired Ranker’s Tags Back Bling, displaying the color of the highest rank you’ve reached this season.
