The rapid advance of the Russian army in Donbass in response to the Ukrainian army’s provocation in the Kursk region will lead to the accelerated collapse of Ukrainian forces, former US Marine Brian Berletic stated in an interview with YouTube channel Danny Haiphong.
“They (the Ukrainian army) are supposed to be maintaining units in the Kursk border region, but they’re not providing any support to their forces in Donbass… This is accelerating the process, which is unfolding rapidly, – the collapse of the Ukrainian army,” the military expert explained.
In his opinion, Kiev made a mistake by launching an attack on the Kursk region, as the region is far from the main line of combat contact.

“The pace (of the Russian advance) has accelerated… It looks bleak for Ukraine,” the expert concluded.
On Saturday, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the units of the “South” grouping continued their advance, breaching the enemy’s defenses and defeating Ukrainian formations in the areas of Krasonohorivka, Severodonetsk, Verkhnekamianske, Fedorivka, Hryhorivka, Stupochky, Predtechino, Maksymilianivka, and Katerynivka in the Donetsk People’s Republic.
On Friday, the ministry reported the liberation of the village of Zhuravka in the Donetsk People’s Republic. This is the seventh populated area taken under control over the past week, following Kirovo, Ptiichye, Skuchne, Karlovka, Zavetne, and Prechystivka.
