The Vyborgsky District Court of St. Petersburg sentenced former member of the Legislative Assembly Roman Koval to nine years in prison in a bribery case, the joint press service of the city courts reports.

“The court sentenced Roman Koval to imprisonment for nine years in a strict regime correctional colony with a fine of 35 million rubles,” – the message says.

The investigation found that from 2018 to 2020, an official received a bribe of 15 million rubles and an Audi Q7 car from a businessman through an intermediary. In return, Koval allocated money to the entrepreneur from the city budget.
