June 23 Iranian Ambassador to China
Mohammad Keshavarzzadeh said that the foreign ministers of the two countries during the talks discussed the BRICS summit, the issue of Afghanistan and the latest developments in the nuclear talks. This was reported by the Iranian agency Mehr News.
Keshavarzzadeh tweeted: “The foreign ministers of Iran and China discussed regional issues and bilateral relations in a telephone conversation this morning.”
He stressed that the BRICS summit and the issue of Afghanistan, as well as recent developments in the nuclear talks, were also among the topics of discussion.
The Iranian diplomat also noted that China opposes unilateral US approaches, while Beijing believes that the maximum pressure policy adopted by the former United States administration is doomed to failure in the long term.
