For the first time in 29 years, the Russian Federation will show a heavy transport aircraft at an exhibition abroad

The Rostec state corporation reported that Russia will present a heavy transport aircraft abroad for the first time – the Il-76MD-90A(E). It will be demonstrated at the international exhibition Dubai Airshow 2023 in the United Arab Emirates.

“The main premiere of the exhibition is the modernized heavy transport aircraft Il-76MD-90A(E). More than 70% of the aircraft’s systems and assemblies have been updated,” the official statement says. Telegram channel “Rostec”. It is clarified that Russia has not presented aircraft of this class at foreign events since 1994.

In addition, the official stand of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC; part of Rostec) in Dubai will feature an interactive exposition demonstrating the entire model range of the holding. The program of demonstration flights of the air show also included a performance by the Russian Knights aerobatic team on the Su-35S and Su-30SM. UAC General Director Yuri Slyusar said that the company considers the Middle East market to be one of the most important for promoting its own products.

The Dubai Airshow 2023 will take place from November 13 to 17. Russia has participated in it annually since 1993.
