For the period from 11 to 21 August, the Komleskhoz of the Moscow Region is strengthening fire safety measures in the forests of the region. Due to the warm dry weather, a high class of fire danger will be established here.
According to the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, warm weather without significant precipitation is expected in the Moscow region from August 11 to 21.
“In our forests, the third or fourth class of fire danger out of five existing ones will be established. It is extremely important to ensure the prevention of fires during this period, ”says Georgy Filimonov, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Moscow Region.
Foresters will more often patrol the territories together with the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. The forces and means of forest fire formations and forest guards have already switched to an enhanced mode of operation. The equipment will be dispersed in areas with high fire risks.
“I appeal to the residents and guests of the region! When visiting forests, follow fire safety rules! After all, the slightest spark can lead to big trouble,” added Oleg Bazhenov, Chairman of the Forestry Committee of the Moscow Region.
The situation was taken under control by the heads of urban districts. Due to the fact that a special fire regime operates in the forests of the Moscow region, violators of fire safety rules will have to pay a fine of up to 50 thousand rubles.
In the first week of August alone, 25 forest fires were put out in the Moscow Region. Earlier, Governor Andrei Vorobyov called the environment in the Moscow region priceless. A large-scale program for the development of 50 forest park zones is being implemented in the region.
