Films from India, Mexico and China entered the main competition of the Pacific Meridian festival

The organizers of the 19th Pacific Meridian International Film Festival have announced the program of the upcoming show. The main competition included tapes from China, India and Mexico, the press service of the festival said.

More than 1.1 thousand films were sent to participate in Pacific Meridian from 94 countries. About 200 paintings were included in the final program.

In the main competition, India will be represented by Pedro (directed by Natesh Hegde) and Cloud and Man (Abhinandan Banerjee). From Mexico, the film “Gods of Mexico” (Helmut Dosantos) is participating, and from China – “Circles on the Water of Life” (Wei Shujun). The main competition also included the joint film of Japan and France “Yamabuki” (Juichiro Yamasaki), the film from Macau “Ghost Town” (Chen Guan) and two Russian films – “The Waves” (Sergey Kalvarsky) and “A Similar Man” (Semyon Serzin ).

Pacific Meridian will be held in Vladivostok from 10 to 16 October. The guests of the festival will be director Vladimir Khotinenko, People’s Artists of Russia Irina Muravyova and Alexei Guskov, actors Alexander Dyachenko, Ksenia Lavrova, Lyudmila Nilskaya, Sergey Astakhov, Andrey Kaikov, Tatiana Abramova and Yuri Belyaev.
