The estate of former US President Donald Trump in Mar-a-Lago was searched by FBI agents two days earlier. A request for a warrant was filed by the Ministry of Justice of the country, said the head of department Merrick Garland.
The minister said that before that, an application was filed with the court. Garland says he is not in a position to share more details about the details of the search at this time.
“I personally approved the decision to request a search warrant… The ministry has filed an application to make the documents public,” the head of the ministry said.
According to the New York Post, more than a hundred FBI specialists searched the ex-president’s house. Allegedly, intelligence agencies were looking for government documents that Trump took unauthorized from the White House.
