F-18 fighter crashed in Spain – Kommersant

In Spain, an F-18 fighter jet crashed during an Air Force exhibition. The pilot managed to eject, but suffered leg injuries, reports El Mundo.

According to the newspaper, the accident occurred when the pilot was heading to the airbase in Zaragoza and performing demonstration maneuvers. The fighter fell on the territory of the military camp, after which a fire started. The reasons for the crash are still unknown. The pilot was hospitalized, his life is not in danger.

In 2017, an F-18 fighter also crashed in Spain, then the pilot of the aircraft died. The incident occurred during the takeoff of a fighter from an air base in the village of Torrejon de Ardoz.
