Miner programs are the most resource-intensive, and at the same time dangerous for a smartphone. It is they who heavily load the computing power of devices, slowing down their work, said Ekaterina Rudaya, manager of the information security center of one of the Russian companies.
AT conversation with the Prime agency, she explained that often such programs are made part of other software or browser extensions. To protect against them, Rudaya advises to be careful about the sources of downloading new files.
“In the current situation, given the blocking of some applications in the official application stores, many clones or instructions for downloading software from unreliable sources are published,” — said the expert.
To make your phone last longer, you should also download only reliable software and update it on time. And you also need to be careful about downloaded extensions, as well as files received via Zoom or instant messengers.
