Chargé d’Affaires of the Afghan Embassy in Pakistan Sardar Ahmad Shakib met today, May 26, with Islamabad’s new Special Representative for Afghanistan Affairs, Asif Ali Khan Durrani. The meeting took place at the Pakistani Foreign Ministry, the Afghan embassy reported.
Shakib expressed satisfaction with the meeting and said that with the appointment of Durrani, the existing problems between the two countries will be resolved and bilateral relations will further expand.
The Afghan Embassy in Islamabad quoted Durrani as saying that during his mission, he will work in coordination with the Afghan Embassy and other relevant institutions to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
