Ex-deputy Nadezhdin remembered how he followed the elections with Churov

Ex-State Duma deputy Boris Nadezhdin said that the former head of the CEC of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Churov, was a sincere and decent person who honestly did his job in such a difficult position.

“I met Churov as soon as he was appointed to the Central Election Commission. On the one hand, he seemed to me a very sincere person, but on the other hand, a person who does not really understand all these elections. It seemed to me that these two qualities are in him remained so,” Nadezhdin told in an interview with TV channel “360”.

At the same time, Churov once called the politician on a trip to the Russian regions during the elections, where he made sure that the votes were “honestly counted.” According to Nadezhdin, the statesman was put in a difficult position.

“He sincerely and honestly tried to do what was best,” concluded the former deputy.

The fact that the former head of the Central Election Commission Vladimir Churov died at the age of 71 became known on the morning of March 22. About a week ago, the ex-official had an operation after a massive heart attack. Churov headed the CEC from 2007 to 2016, after which he gave way to Ella Pamfilova, and he himself became Ambassador-at-Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. In this position, he worked until the last day of his life.
