European oil and gas companies intend to ask Norway to lower gas prices

European oil and gas companies have decided to turn to Norway with a request to sell gas at a price below the market. This is stated in the publication. Financial Times.

According to the author of the article, this idea until recently seemed unthinkable, because Norway already provided the EU with blue fuel during the gas crisis to the detriment of its oil production. Now Europe is increasingly asking Oslo “to agree to export at a reduced price.”

Considering that Europe receives 25% of Norwegian gas from total imports, the Scandinavian country’s energy revenues this year will approach 100 billion euros. At the same time, the EU is confident that such a profit means that the kingdom already has a certain budgetary freedom, so it will be possible to come to a “compromise agreement” with Norway.
