Erdogan’s son-in-law will finance the construction of a container city in Turkey


President Erdogan’s son-in-law and drone maker Bayraktar to procure container houses for victims

Chairman of the Board and Head of Technology at Baykar Selcuk Bayraktar said the company would allocate funds to purchase 1,000 homes for those left homeless after the earthquake, Turkey’s Anadolu news agency reported February 13.

Bayraktar, who is in the destroyed city of Kahramanmarash, said in his video message that he was shocked by what had happened and called on the entire Turkish people to rally around the state.

After that, he announced the start of the Baykar Container City housing project, which will be financed by his company. The container town will have 1,000 houses that will accommodate 2,000 people.

The total amount of financing from the company will reach 1 billion 855 million Turkish liras (about $10 million).

It is noteworthy that Selçuk Bayraktar is the son-in-law of the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoganand his company produces the famous Bayraktar combat drones.

Recall that President Erdogan promised to build housing for the victims of the earthquake within a year.
