Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan promised to implement the gas hub project proposed by Russian President Vladimir Putin. His words led RIA News”.

“In his congratulatory message, Mr. Putin repeated the question of Turkey, namely Thrace, becoming a “gas hub”. We will take this step together with them,” he said.

According to the politician, the Turkish government will continue to strengthen the position of the country, bringing investments in transport and energy to the world level.

Erdogan tentatively won the second round of presidential elections in the Republic, which took place on May 28. After processing 99.43% of the ballots, he received 52.14% of the votes. His opposition opponent Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu scored 47.86%.

Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated his colleague on his re-election, noting that such results of the vote were “a natural result of Erdogan’s selfless work as head of the Republic of Turkey.”

The presidential elections in Turkey were held in two stages, because after the first round, both candidates did not get the required number of votes.
