According to her, such a risk should not be ruled out due to the fact that infectious mosquito vectors have been recorded in many regions, excluding some northern regions. The expert also recalled that in 2020, ten cases of infection with West Nile fever were registered, and a year later – 76.
No cases were identified in 2022. To reduce the risk of disease, mosquito control in stagnant water bodies, drainage and disinsection of basements, drainage of swamps, etc. are carried out on an ongoing basis.
