Russian special operation in Ukraine

Volunteers of the “Young Guard of United Russia” (MGER) helped to find more than two thousand people missing in Mariupol. This was announced by the chairman of the association Anton Demidov. People who cannot contact their relatives and friends turn to volunteers for help – in total, more than 11 thousand requests for help were received on the search engine website.

“We immediately pass on all the information following the results of the trips to the relatives. We will strengthen this area of work, a lot of help is needed. We not only help in the search, but also in the evacuation – 130 people have already been evacuated from Mariupol, ”the United Russia official website quotes Anton Demidov.

Relatives give volunteers via the poisk-mariupol.ru website the addresses of the places where they last saw the missing person. After that, MGER participants go there. So, the volunteers managed to find Lyudmila Vasina, who was looking for a grandson from the Moscow region. It was possible to establish the location of the woman using a video published in one of the telegram channels.

Volunteers also cooperate with doctors. They helped hospitalize 1,300 seriously ill people. In addition, MGER volunteers provide food packages to residents of remote areas of Mariupol and work with children in United Russia humanitarian centers, Demidov said. Volunteers organize leisure activities and organize sports events.

Russia has been conducting a special operation in Ukraine since the end of February. Russian President Vladimir Putin noted that the priority of the Russian army is to exclude unnecessary victims among civilians and strike at the military infrastructure of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At the end of April, Russian troops took control of Mariupol. United Russia opened a help center in the city, which has a field kitchen and a medical aid station.
