Enrollment of children in the first grade begins in the Sverdlovsk region

On April 1, all schools in the Sverdlovsk region will start accepting applications for first grades. About 55,000 first-graders will sit at their desks. This was announced by the head of the department of general education of the regional Ministry of Education and Youth Policy Natalia Sokolskaya.

“April 1, the acceptance of applications for the first classes begins. This year we are waiting for approximately 55-56 thousand first-graders in the schools of the Sverdlovsk region. These are children in accordance with the law from 6.5 to 8 years. Today we have 60,000 places to meet the needs of families in the Sverdlovsk region,” said Natalya Sokolskaya at a press conference in TASS dedicated to the start of accepting applications for first grades in the Sverdlovsk region.

Earlier, URA.RU wrote that in Yekaterinburg on April 1, the parents of children filed about 18,000 applications for first grades. In the first minute alone, about two thousand applications were sent.
