Bulgaria continues issuing tourist visas to Russians, the embassy in Moscow said. The diplomatic mission clarified that the terms for issuing visas have increased for technical reasons.
“The consulate at the embassy is working, and the issuance of tourist visas to Russian citizens has not stopped. At the moment, due to technical reasons, we are working in an unusual mode, the terms for providing services are longer than usual, but we are working,” said TASS at the Embassy.
Yesterday, August 5, the Russian Foreign Ministry declared 14 Bulgarian diplomats persona non grata. This was a response to the expulsion at the end of June of 70 Russian diplomats from Bulgaria. Bulgarian visa centers in Moscow, Yekaterinburg and St. Petersburg do not accept documents from March 25.
