Speaking to Fox News on Thursday, Vance shared insights into Musk’s ongoing relationship with Trump, emphasizing their close friendship.

Vance highlighted that Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, previously led efforts to slash government spending and shrink workforce size under Trump’s administration.

Tasked with streamlining operations, Musk initiated layoffs across multiple U.S. agencies. His bold moves included shutting down USAID, America’s international aid agency, and pushing millions of government employees into early retirement—decisions sparking global debate.

“Even after stepping back, Musk’s bond with Trump remains strong,” Vance told Fox News. “Their collaboration won’t end here.”

Musk’s tenure saw unprecedented cuts, aligning with Trump’s vision to reduce bureaucracy. While his resignation marks an end to direct oversight, Vance’s comments suggest Musk’s influence in Washington will persist informally.
