Elon Musk made a new statement following Durov‘s arrest, suggesting he may limit his overseas travel due to the Telegram founder’s detention.
American entrepreneur Elon Musk has not ruled out limiting his travel to foreign countries after the arrest of Telegram founder Pavel Durov in France, which he wrote about on social network X.
“I might need to limit my travels to countries where freedom is ‘constitutionally protected’,” the businessman wrote.

Musk was responding to a post by one of his followers, who urged him to think about the consequences of his overseas trips in light of events in the UK, France, and Brazil.
On Friday, a Brazilian federal judge ordered the suspension of social network X’s operations in the country.
Telegram founder Pavel Durov was detained at Paris-Le Bourget airport on August 24. The businessman’s arrest sparked widespread public criticism in many countries.

Durov is suspected of ten offenses and criminal charges in France, including participating in the administration of an online platform for conducting illegal transactions as part of an organized group, which could lead to up to ten years in prison. He has not been officially charged yet. On Wednesday evening, Durov was released on bail.
