The video game Elden Ring, released in February 2022, has become one of the most watched video games on YouTube with over 3.4 billion views in its first 60 days of release. This is reported IGN with a link to YouTube data. The most viewed video from Elden Ring had 6.2M views and the most viewed channel 71.6M. About 71% of the views were through regular YouTube videos, almost 26% from live streams, and almost 3% were through YouTube Shorts .
YouTube compared Elden Ring’s performance to other popular games on the service. At GTA V 1.9 billion views in the first two months since the release, however, the first versions of the game were released in 2013 – then YouTube’s figures were different. More recent game from 2018 Red Dead Redemption 2 collected 1.4 billion views. The two most popular games from Nintendo are Super Mario Odyssey and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild — have 828 million and 638 million views, respectively. Survived a significant number of reissues The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim collected 456 million views.
