Downpour kills seven in South Korea

Seven people died during rainstorms in Seoul, six more are missing, reports “Yonhap”. Nine people were injured. In the capital of South Korea and nearby cities, houses, transport and subways are flooded.

The central region of South Korea experienced the heaviest rains in 80 years in terms of precipitation volume. In one of the districts, 141.5 mm of precipitation was recorded in an hour. Downpours flooded roads and buildings, there was a power outage, the subway was suspended. 163 people were left homeless.
