Donald Trump’s return to US presidency set to unfold a bit differently this time. Instead of the traditional open-air setting he will take the oath inside Capitol Hill Congress building. Change is due to cold weather, as confirmed by the newly elected president.

On the occasion of Trump’s inauguration, several key world leaders have been invited. Among them is China’s President Xi Jinping. But notably absent from the list is India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Instead, India’s Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar will attend the event.

Trump himself announced on Friday that the decision made due to freezing weather. Weather reports indicate that Washington’s temperature will drop significantly below freezing on Monday.
Due to the indoor setting event will see a reduced gathering compared to previous inaugurations, according to various US media outlets.
Last time such a change occurred was in 1985 when President Ronald Reagan took his oath inside the Capitol building due to extreme cold.
Notable nationalist and far-right politicians from across Europe have been invited to the inauguration, excluding some traditional leaders.
