Former U.S. President and Republican candidate Donald Trump, after a Sunday campaign stop at a McDonald’s where he served customers fries, began selling T-shirts featuring photo of himself on the “job” and the slogan “MAGADonald’s,” combining the restaurant’s name with his campaign slogan.
“I’m the first and only 2024 presidential candidate who worked at McDonald’s… I want to give every true patriot a chance to order the official MAGADonald’s T-shirt before they sell out,” reads the statement on Trump’s campaign website.
To get a T-shirt, a minimum campaign donation of $44 required.
On Sunday, Trump “clocked in” at McDonald’s, wearing an apron and serving fries to customers. His Democratic rival and U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris frequently mentions her own McDonald’s work experience during campaign events, which Trump has questioned.
Following Trump’s event, Bloomberg reported that McDonald’s, involved in the U.S. election buzz, stated that it does not support any candidate.
US presidential election takes place on November 5.
